Remember last year when Virginia lost in the opening round of last years NCAA tournament, as the overall top seed? Well they’ve got basically the same team back as last year. 6’7 guard De’andre Hunter is a slasher with a nice jumper who’s looking to be the top scoring threat for the Cavaliers. The “x-factor” for Virginia is whether or not Kyle Guy can get it going. He’s gotten decent numbers this season but he needs to be way more efficient and facilitate more if Virginia wants to sniff a 1 seed. Over on the Wisconsin side you know about Ethan Happ, but watching them play, D’Mitrck Trice is the main focus for the badgers offensively. Wisconsin is pretty underrated in my opinion and they’ve gotten off to a stellar start. These two defensive minded clubs will challenge each other in being so much like one another, I think it’s a coin flip, I’m goin upset.

Let’s get it!! I’m pumped for this game, these teams matchup awesomely against each other. For Kansas’ Udoka Azubuike and Dedric Lawson down low, the Volunteers have last seasons SEC player of the year Grant Williams and Swiss Army knife wing Admiral Schofield. Number one thing for Tennessee if they want to shock the hawks, is their guard play, point guard Jordan Bone has been running their offense to near perfection and putting the ball in the bucket too. The big factor for them however, is the return of Lamonte Turner, he’s their best 3 point threat and is known as a 2nd half scorer who can close games. Kansas though, has a man by the name of Lagerald Vick and if you haven’t heard of him, well you’re gonna know him soon. The kid is shooting over 60% from deep this year, yeah that’s a 6, and he’s a jump out of the gym type of athlete, he’s what everyone thought Andrew Wiggins would be 5 years ago. This game will be exciting and I expect it go down to the wire, I’m predicting a Vick buzzer beater to win.

TREMONT WATERS, get this name in your brain, he’s a potential All-American, and I won’t say this lightly, the sophomore LSU point man is the second coming of Steph Curry, just watch this game and you’ll see. The Tigers aren’t limited to just him though, they’ve got two 5-star freshmen with Naz Reid and Emmitt Williams in their front court. Now let’s get into the Seminoles a bit, they’re a real solid team, returning some key players from last seasons Elite Eight run. Trent Forrest will man the point and do his best to contain Waters on the other end, because you can’t fully stop him. He’ll be joined by potential All-ACC performer, all around stud, Terrance Mann, and sharpshooting two man P.J. Savoy. Now this matchup is very similar to last nights Michigan State-UCLA game where, Florida State is definitely the better team at the moment, but LSU has a boat load of talent that has gotta explode sooner or later, will tonight be that night?
